Job Description:
Microchip Technology Inc.
is looking for a new intern to work in a team responsible for Design Implementation (Synthesis/STA/Timing closure) of 32-bit innovative microcontrollers.
The role will include driving and optimizing synthesis, power optimization, static timing analysis, and design verification flows to address newer advanced process nodes.
Working in such field, will enable you to acquire unique experience in design implementation area.
Key Responsibilities
Learn and execute Synthesis, Formal equivalency, Static Timing Analysis and Power evaluation tools and flows for Microchip’s 32-bit microcontrollers
Analyze a new process technology requirements and identify the gaps to be addressed in our flows
Implement the identified gaps in our flows, with good level of flexibility for future updates
Test and verify the implementation using an existing mature design
Interact with top tier EDA tool vendors
Identify improvements which can fit the increased need to use AI/ML tools for enhanced productivity
Interface with talented designers for mentoring
Requirements/Qualifications:
You are in the last year of a Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or similar
Familiar with RTL design and microcontrollers.
PIC32C knowledges is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good scripting skills (TCL/Perl/Python)
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Exposure to STA, Synthesis and Functional verification tools is a plus
