Our Finance-Data Analyst apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to launch your career as you’ll get immersed in our globally diverse organization, develop your skills and build your professional network.
As a DSM-Firmenich apprentice, you’ll spend one year learning about a worldwide growing and transforming industry and gaining invaluable experience working on projects at our finance headquarters in Switzerland.
Fully integrated within our teams, you will benefit from our 12 to 24 months apprenticeship program

What You Will Do
You’ll gain experience working on end-to-end projects and performing “live” finance activities based on the needs and requirements of the Business.
Being caring, courageous and collaborative, you’ll bring ideas to propel our thinking and drive to set our pace.
Below examples of responsibilities:
Help to provide accurate, relevant, timely financial & non-financial analyses and figures (latest estimates, budget, actuals) to the Business – commercial
- on monthly basis.
Produce and monitor financial reports (monthly, quarterly) to support business performance.
Present and communicate financial to the commercial community
Support business leaders in building strategic scenarios, business plan simulation and business cases for investment.
Participate in the periodic closing process
Develop key ad hoc or recurring analysis that will help commercial managers to take right decisions.
Work on Reporting with clear deliverable (Automate dashboards in Excel (advanced formulas required, macros and VBA is a plus).
Develop visualization tools using Power BI to improve data readability.
Extract and analyze data from ERP systems
Induction and Individual mentoring program
You’ll have the capacity to build your professional network and participate in training sessions, team-building activities.
You’ll interact with senior management, business leaders, and our global finance organization.
You’ll also tour our facilities and gain insight into neighbouring departments, such as marketing, R&D and Manufacturing.
At the end of our program, you will be a young professional with:
Solid experience in both finance and project management
Strong expertise and insights in one of the leading worldwide industries

Who We Hire
Our Ideal Candidates:
Student in Master’s degree in Finance / Data Analytics
Gained already a first experience through internships, business specific preferably, international internships, or studies abroad
Be interested in digital transformation of financial processes and data.
Be curious, enthusiastic with very good communication skills
Cooperative, participative, autonomous and self-starting working style
Possess strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Have the relevant technology skills (e.g.
MS-Office, BI systems, Powerpoint, Excel,
VBA, Pyhton are a +)
Have a strong command of English, both written and spoken as it is our working language.
