Intern Portfolio Valuation
Our Portfolio Valuation practice provides specialized valuation services to asset managers, including private equity firms, family offices, and institutional investors.
We focus on valuing alternative investments—such as private equity, private debt, venture capital, and infrastructure—particularly securities and positions without active market quotations.
Navigating Responsibilities:
Portfolio Valuation Interns support a wide range of assignments designed to support projects within the alternative investment sector.
Their responsibilities typically include:
Conducting comprehensive research on capital markets, industries, competitors, and target companies assessing factors such as market position, strategic fit, and business models/ business plans.
Assisting in valuation analysis of diverse illiquid investments across various industries and geographies, while using recognized methodologies and theoretical frameworks.
Assisting in the application of multiple valuation approaches, including:
Income Approach (e.g., discounted cash flow analysis)
Market Approach (e.g., market multiples and transaction comps)
Option Pricing Models
Analyzing capital markets and determining cost of capital using CAPM.
Assisting the team with interviewing clients (Q&A), including face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information relevant to the engagement.
Assisting in the development of presentations and publications communicated to clients.
Attending relevant industry events to broaden your knowledge and experience within the alternative investments industry.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualification: You hold a master’s degree or about to graduate soon in a leading Business or Engineering School and are seeking an end-of studies long-term internship (5 to 6 months) in a pre-recruitment context.
Previous experience: Prior apprenticeship or internship experience in finance is welcome (audit, transaction advisory, valuation, M&A, or any other relevant financial analyst position).
Time management: You are able to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
Analytical skills: Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills.
Language skills: Excellent French and English required.
Starting date: March or April 2026
