Job Description
POSITION AND MISSIONS
You join our Econometrics team within the Market & Counterparty Risk department who are looking for a Developer of econometric tools in Python, for an internship of 6 months from March/April 2026.
The tools for analysis, reconstruction of historical data or identification of outliers in time series are integrated into a common library developed in Python, made available mostly via a front-end using the steamlit framework.
Other features developed within the team for specific needs remain to be integrated into the global library, notably around topics of deviation calibrations-types, of regulatory KPI production or other impact reports from the weekly update of econometrics for VAR calculation.
In collaboration with your tutor, your main tasks will be:
Become familiar with existing tools (developed in R or Python) by reading the associated documentation and code.
Being a driving force for the integration of the team’s analysis tools into the global python library.
Create a common base in the form of a library including the features useful to the team in their daily tasks.
Perform post-migration consistency tests.
Possibly improve the code performance.
Document the different steps as well as create a modus operandi if new features are added.
Intervene on risk factors and market data for all asset classes (rate, credit, cash, foreign exchange, stocks, commodities).

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience
Student at the BAC+ level 4/5, you are preparing a university degree, from a business school or an engineering school, with a specialization in Market Finance or Risk.
You master the Python development language and ideally have notions in R.
You have an appetite for risk metrics in market finance (VaR calculation, statistical or economic calculations, financial products).
You have excellent interpersonal skills, a very good ability to listen.
You are curious, pragmatic, sensitive to the improvement of processes and proactive.
And last but not least, you are perfectly fluent in English.
