Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and talented intern to join our Research and Development team focused on developing cutting-edge simulation solutions for power, performance, and thermal analysis.
This internship offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative software development that directly supports the architecture and design of future Intel products at the forefront of microelectronics technology.
Modern chip design requires rigorous validation of PTP behaviors, but traditional testing approaches often miss complex temporal relationships and causality effects.
This internship focuses on creating an AI-driven framework that can intelligently detect anomalies, validate expected behaviors, and generate comprehensive test scenarios.
Key Objectives:
Develop a Smart Test Generation Engine: Design and implement an AI-powered test generator that creates causality-aware test scenarios.
Example: When CPU frequency drops by 20 percent, validate that power consumption decreases by 15-25 percent within the next 10ms.
Enable Intelligent Anomaly Detection: Develop algorithms to identify abnormal peaks and behavioral patterns beyond simple min/max/average checks.
Example: check system interdependencies between memory and cores, detect temporal patterns for performance analysis
Develop a Dynamic Runtime Validation API: Build a flexible, user-customizable API for real-time validation during simulation with custom validation rules and thresholds
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently in a final year of French Engineering school or Master's degree, with a focus on computer sciences, software engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
Excellent communication skills and ability (written and spoken, French and English) to work collaboratively in a fast-paced RnD environment
Strong programming skills and interest in software development for technical applications
Preferred qualifications
Strong programming foundation: Proficiency in Python, C++/Rust, or similar languages with experience in API design and data analysis
AI/ML familiarity: Experience with machine learning frameworks, LLMs, or AI-powered code generation tools
Interest in semiconductor design and validation: Curiosity about power management, thermal analysis, or performance optimization in microelectronics (prior experience not required)
Analytical mindset: Problem-solving skills and attention to detail essential for working with complex simulation data and temporal relationships
Enthusiasm for emerging technologies: Passion for contributing to cutting-edge AI applications in the semiconductor industry and validation automation
