Air Liquide's Industrial Merchant (IM) is a global business line serving over two million customers, from local artisans to large multinationals, across diverse sectors like food and beverage, metal fabrication, and chemicals.
Missions
During your internship/internship, you will be given the following main tasks:
Assessing Global Best Practices within Our Biggest Affiliates:
For the defined HR scope, you will conduct in-depth assessments of current HR practices within our largest regional operations (affiliates) across the globe.
This involves rigorous research and analysis of existing approaches to hiring, onboarding, training, talent retention, and career progression specifically within their customer care departments.
You will be tasked with identifying and documenting successful models and innovative practices that demonstrate tangible benefits, with the aim of leveraging and scaling these across the entire Group.
How would you manage this mission : by organising interviews with business & HR stakeholders.
You will be in close contact with the different affiliates.
Helping to Define the Strategic HR Roadmap for Customer Care Departments:
Leveraging the rich insights gathered from your scope definition and best practices assessment, you will be a key contributor to developing a forward-looking strategic HR roadmap for customer care.
This roadmap will outline clear, actionable steps and strategic recommendations for enhancing HR policies, programs, and systems across our global customer care teams, ensuring seamless alignment with our overarching customer care strategy (which integrates people, cutting-edge tools, and streamlined processes).
How would you manage this mission : by organising workshops with business & HR stakeholders.
By presenting the outcomes to top management for decision making
Accelerating the Deployment of Best Practices within the Affiliates:
Your role will extend beyond strategy to active implementation.
You will directly support and accelerate the rollout of identified best practices across various affiliates.
This may involve assisting with the development of compelling communication plans, crafting effective training materials, or coordinating pilot programs for new HR initiatives.
Your drive and dedication will be crucial in ensuring that successful HR initiatives gain traction and are adopted efficiently throughout our customer care network.
How would you manage this mission : by creating a community regrouping all affiliates in order to share the best practices, by using the communication channel of Air Liquide.
Starting to Deliver the HR Roadmap:
This position offers the exciting opportunity to move from planning to tangible impact.
You will be actively involved in the initial phases of executing the defined HR roadmap.
This could include contributing to specific projects related to optimizing new hiring processes, developing initial guidelines for customer care career paths, or supporting the launch of innovative employee development programs.
You will see your strategic contributions translate directly into concrete actions that significantly impact our customer care professionals and, by extension, our customers.
How would you manage this mission : by creating the documents and tools that will then be shared with the affiliates, by animating the Business stakeholders
Bringing knowledge to Air Liquide
Enable Air Liquide to benefit from the latest knowledge in these areas by conducting external benchmarks.
How would you manage this mission : by participating at external events on these topics, by identifying key partners who will be able to provide appropriate information.

Air Liquide has been awarded the Happy Trainees label.
The internship will take place in the Group's historical headquarters in the center of Paris at Quai d'Orsay.
Geographical location: France / Ile de France / 75-Paris
Desired start date: January 2026
Duration of the internship : 6 to 12 months
