Join our dynamic AI Product & Engineering team at Amex GBT for a final year internship where you’ll explore the cutting edge of responsible AI, data science, and machine learning systems, all while building practical skills and contributing to real product work.
What you’ll work on
As a final year intern, you will:
Explore how Generative AI can enhance traveler experience, automate trip support, and drive innovation in online booking systems
Contribute to applied research and prototyping of agentic systems that transform how user experience business travel
Explore how AI agents can be integrated into customer-facing products
Help analyze , test, and improve AI/ML pipelines , with a focus on trust, safety, and quality
Work with Python and tools/frameworks/platforms like Hugging Face , LangChain and Claude
Participate in collaborative projects with machine learning engineers, software developers and product managers across global teams
Assist in documenting findings, testing approaches, and sharing learnings with the broader team
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for motivated and curious students who:
Are pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer Science , Data Science, Engineering, or a related field and graduating in 2026 (M2) available from February / March 2026 to end of August / September 2026
Have good experience with Python (coursework, personal projects, or bootcamps)
Are interested in Generative AI, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or building responsibly with LLMs
Familiarity with LLMs (e.g.
Claude, Mistral), APIs, or NLP concepts
Exposure to tools like Hugging Face, LangChain , or vector databases
Experience working with data (Pandas, SQL, Jupyter )
Interest in ethical AI, fairness, or responsible AI development
Are analytical thinkers and good communicators
Enjoy working in collaborative, international environments
